Important Tips:
1. It is important to remeber that all medication orders need to have a linked related diagnosis and indication for use.
2. Do not use the order source of Prescriber Written for any order. This will not allow for a Provider signature in PCC.
ONLY USE - Phone, Verbal or Prescriber/Agent Entered. Prescriber/Agent entered must be used for all controlled substances.
3. Pay special attention when adding in house stock/OTC medications to ensure that they are not ordered from the pharmacy. We have added order templates for almost all OTC medications so it is best to use the template field to add the order. You can either enter OTC which will bring up all OTC medications for your facility or enter the medication name and choose the template that has OTC in the title.
