In Infection Prevention and Control (IPC), you can create, view, and update infection cases. Cases can also trigger from the
Assmnts tab when an Infection Screening Evaluation or Respiratory Infection Screener is locked. To prevent duplicate cases triggering for the same infection, it is recommended to use only 1 screening tool.
Med Diag tab when a new infection diagnosis is added.
After a case is created, you can assign an Outbreak ID and Cohort Tag to a resident case. This helps you track infection outbreaks in your facility. You can create Cohort Tags to identify characteristics shared between residents in your facility. For example, #redrash or #NorthDiningRoom. Outbreak IDs are provided by the public health department.
Note
Cohort tags are shared across all facilities in your organization.
