Documenting Weights and Vitals, allows you to record weight and vital values into the resident record. You can add new values, generate graphs, and add multiple entries on the resident chart. You can see the most recent entries on 1 screen and you can compare against baselines. 

If a resident's weight and vitals change outside a specific range, entries can trigger warnings on thresholds set. Triggered warnings help staff monitor change in condition and maintain levels of care.

Note

You must enter route or method to save vital entries.

Procedure

  1. Clinical > Resident > Wts/Vitals.
  2. Click New.
  3. Complete the fields as required.

  1. Click Save.

Hints and tips

  • The most recent values for the resident appear on the Wts/Vitals tab. Click View All to see all entries.
  • To view the last recorded value for a previous month, change the month and year. 
  • If your facility is integrated with a third party application, weight and vitals entries can be taken using participating vendor products and pushed to the resident's record. Device information and Machine appear in the Recorded By/Instrument column.
  • You can add weights and vitals through other areas of PointClickCare. All entries appear on the Wts/Vitals tab.
